Instructions for use part 1:

The newly developed MINUSHEET technique improves the current state of cell and tissue cultures in three steps:

1. Individual selection of an optimal artificial support improves adherence and differentiation of cells and tissues.
2. Permanent per(i)fusion of always new culture medium provides optimal nutrition for the cells and constantly removes waste products.
3. Superfusion of individual media above and below the tissue carrier mimiks a natural gradient.

Thus, it is possible to mimic nearly all kinds of tissue-specific in vitro conditions with simple tools in your laboratory. All parts of the system are constructed for numerous repeated use and not as one-way products.

Assembly of a MINUSHEET

Please note for your experiments, that all of the parts are for laboratory and not for medical use. Check up on biohazard instructions!

Maintenance of the per(i)fusion culture tools:
The developed culture tools should be cleaned with warm water and a small brush. If absolutely necessary a mild detergent may be used. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solutions such as alcohols, acetone, thinners etc.

Mounting a MINUSHEET tissue carrier: The constructed tissue carriers, the MINUSHEETS are suitable to mount flexible or inflexible support materials for optimal cell adhesion and differentiation. They provide the basis for all newly constructed culture devices. A wide range of support materials for example glass cover slips, cellulose nitrate, polycarbonate, cellophane filters or biological membranes such as the renal capsule can be used. Matching supports are commercially available or are trimmed to a diameter of 13 mm with a punching tool.
